Mijajima

The tide here was low.

Hiroshima

A-Bomb Dome. The only piece of building left in Hiroshima after the atomic bomb.
The white bit at the bottom is one of the cranes (origami-like cranes) around the area, is a symbol of the children who survived (or died) to the bomb.
In the Peace Memorial park. The monument on the waters hold an eternal flame that will be estinghuished only when the last nuclear weapon on heart will be destroyed. Which is more likely it won't because since 1945 there have been thousands of nuclear bombs experiments around the world. The 6th of August of each year the mayor of Hiroshima sends a letter of protest to the leaders of those countries who still test nuclear bombs. So to US, France, China, North Korea, Iraq, England and Russia.
A monument dedicated to the children. A little girl who survived the bomb developed leuchemia after a few years and she gave herself the goal to fold 1000 origami cranes which she thought it could heal her illness. But she couldnt finish cause she died before reaching the number so her schoolmates continued folding cranes for her. And then all the childrem from the schools in japan folded thousands of cranes, and they still do it today.

And the skyline of the big city.
